Pune, India — Image ProVision Technology Pvt. Ltd. is pleased to announce its contribution to a peer-reviewed research paper titled “Study of Spectroscopic, Thermal, Microscopic Characteristics and Extended-Release Application of Carboxymethyl Ethyl Cellulose”, published in Polysaccharides (MDPI), Volume 7, Issue 2, June 2026.

The research, conducted by pharmaceutical scientists from leading institutions across Maharashtra, investigated the characterization and drug-delivery applications of Carboxymethyl Ethyl Cellulose (CMEC) — a pH-sensitive polymer with significant potential for extended-release tablet formulations.

Image ProVision Technology’s proprietary CLAIRITY PARTICLE microscopic image analysis software was employed for quantitative particle characterization of the CMEC polymer, enabling precise measurement of particle size distribution (D10, D50, D90) and morphological parameters including circularity, surface area, circular equivalent diameter, length, width, and aspect ratio. Additionally, the company’s ipvPHot software was utilized for hot stage microscopy image capture across a temperature range of 32°C to 350°C, providing critical visual documentation of the polymer’s thermal behavior.
